"I spent the start of my career defending insurance companies. I learned exactly how they undervalue claims, how they wear people down, and what makes them actually pay. Now that knowledge sits on my clients' side of the table."
I began my career on the defense side — representing insurance companies, the corporations they protect, and the institutions that often outspend and outlast the people they harm. I learned the playbook from inside. I saw which cases got settled, which got fought, and which got pushed aside.
What I also saw was the kind of person who lost most often: the injured worker who didn't know they had rights. The immigrant who was told their case wasn't worth anything. The driver whose lawyer stopped returning calls. Good people, fighting a system designed to wear them down.
I built this firm to be the answer to that. A practice where every client is taken seriously, every case is built carefully, and every decision is explained clearly — by a lawyer, in plain language, every step of the way.
Years spent defending insurance companies, carriers, and large institutions — learning the strategies used to undervalue and deny claims.
Licensed to practice in all New Jersey state and federal courts. Active member of the New Jersey State Bar.
Personal injury litigation, workers' compensation, immigration, and municipal court — with substantive courtroom experience in each.
Founded The Turuchi Law Firm to build a different kind of practice — one where clients get the lawyer, not a handoff to junior staff.
If you were told your case is not worth it, that is exactly when I want to hear from you. Some of my best results came from cases that looked small at first.
Most cases end in a settlement — that's normal. But getting ready for court is what drives that number up. The insurance company pays more when it sees a lawyer who is ready to fight in front of a judge.
You'll never wonder where your case stands or what's happening next. Communication isn't a courtesy — it's part of how the work actually gets done well.
Your input matters. Your time matters. Your dignity matters. The work happens with you, not to you.
